The famous cavatina “Casta Diva” from Vincenzo Bellini’s opera Norma is one of the best-known and most demanding arias in the entire history of opera. This world-renowned masterpiece of Italian bel canto is now available in a new, subtle adaptation for string duo, conceived by the violinist and arranger Marta Danilkovich.

In this new arrangement for violin and viola, the infinite, deeply emotional melodic line of the original is artfully transferred to the two string instruments. The arrangement perfectly captures the floating, intimate character of the prayer to the moon goddess, utilizing the full tonal and dynamic spectrum of the duo.
